Dear Kimberly Kay,

Kimberly,
Wow, since I am a guy this is REALLY HARD, but I'll give it a shot. First I'll start with a cliche: All the true beauty is on the inside. Well I'm sure you've heard that one to many times, so I'll try something. This may sound kind of harsh, but it's an answer that is probably true. For the pudgy part; excercise and eat healthier, honest to God. Most likely it will make a difference. For the glasses; if you can afford contacts you could try those, but if not, people will just have to deal with it. Acne; cutting back on greasy food, which will also help your weight, but also the acne. I think Clearasil(if that's how you spell it) works ok. You could try that. If people still have a problem with that don't talk to them. Screw 'em. Well I hope that helped.

Grey Sanders
~sincerely yours~

Original Question:

Hi! I'm a bit pudgy and my height just adds to that image. I always feel self concious when I'm talking face to face with someone for the first time because I'm afraid they might judge me by my appearance before the conversation even begins. It also doesn't help that I have severe acne and wear thick glasses. My family isn't rich and I can't afford to wear brand name clothes. I was wondering what I could do to help improve my outward appearance so I don't feel so akward at social gatherings.

this is for kimberly. because grey is a guy with no insecurities, he's not the best person to ask for advice on appearance. :]
i would say, first off, losing weight [and getting abs] starts in the kitchen, not exercise. no matter how much you exercise, if you have a slow metabolism and you do not eat right, you will never lose weight. cut back on meat, starch, and fatty stuff like fast food. eat more fruits and vegetables.
okay, secondly as to your height, that's genetic and there is nothing you can do about it. however, just some food for thought, my friend alex was always the shortest person in class, that is until sixth grade. that year she shot up. everyone grows at different rates and times so dont loose hope.
glasses: you cant help it. just remember its more important that you can see than whether or not the guys think you're hot.
acne: use clearasil ultra for more intense treatment. if that doesn't work, try cetaphil for normal to oily skin. if you wear makeup at all, make sure the label says it is non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog pores.
clothes: why does it matter? while clothes may seem like the perfect way to fit in, it's not. go to wherever you shop and just bye what is necessary, cheap, but still looks cute and compliments your figure.

hope this helped.

ya, i agree with scarlett, grey is definitely nawt the best person 2 come 2 4 this kind of advice. scarlett covered pretty much everything i could think of, but here's sum mor ideas:

Ive had a huge acne problem 4 a long time, and i find the best stuff 2 use is Neutragena and Clean &Clear brands. They work best. As 4 clothes, who needs designer? i live off of knockoffs. i can't afford Abercrombie or Hollister either. Some good places 2 shop r JC Penney, Target, Old Navy, + Kohl's. Forever 21 and Pac Sun r gr8 2, but more expensive. I really wish I could help with the weight problem, but unfortunately I'm dealing with the same thing. All i can say is try the Flirt Fit at Old Navy. They make u look fabulously curvy. And luckily, maternity shirt-type things r in style. u'll know wut i mean when u c them. Available at JC Penney and Forever 21. As 4 the glasses; sweetie, its all about the frame. get sumthing that looks cute with ur face and skin tone.
